50 Pounds of Marijuana Mailed to Wrong New Jersey Address

Have you ever received a package on your doorstep that wasn’t actually for you? Of course, many people have. Well one resident in Hazlet, New Jersey recently received several unaddressed packages on their doorstep that were not meant for them and called the police department. While trying to investigate the actual recipient of the delivery, the police opened a box only to find 50 pounds of marijuana.

The marijuana was in 31 plastic-wrapped bundles and is believed to be worth around $100,000. On their Facebook page, the Hazlet Township Police Department posted photos of the haul and are welcoming the rightful owner to come claim them.

The post states:

If you were expecting these packages and would like to claim them, please come to Police Headquarters. In the meantime our detectives will be working with County, State, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies to locate the owner of this property.

There has been no news of whether the intended recipient(s) has been located yet.
